Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Association (BTRC) has given order to stop all the operations of Dhaka Fiber Net Limited. Due to providing bandwidth connection to the unlicensed ISP companies, not preserving instructed IP log and finally for ‘militant’ affiliation, BTRC has ordered to shut down the operations of Dhaka Fiber Net.
BTRC issued them a show-cause letter seeking their reply in seven days for why the license of Dhaka Fiber Net Limited won’t get cancelled for violating the terms and conditions of license.
Dhaka Fiber Net has provided bandwidth connection to the unlicensed company ‘Confident Net’. Later, 150 subscribers purchased internet connection from Confident net and among them, some subscribers were involved in militant activities as per complaints, as the law-enforcing team confirmed BTRC.
