Bangladesh, continuously for the 4th time, has won IT sector’s respectable award ‘World Summit on Information Society (WSIS)’. Five projects were nominated for the award this year, among which four projects won awards in different categories and these awards had been able to get achieved through the a2i Project of Prime Minister’s Office.
The four rewarded projects are Multimedia Talking Book, Telemedicine Project of Dhaka University, Aocial Media in Public Service Initiative and e-Nothy.
This award distribution ceremony got held at the head office of International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the information and technology based specialized association of United Nation, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Mr. Kabir Bin Anwar, Director General (Administration) of Prime Minister’s Office and Project Director of a2i Program, received the award on behalf of Bangladesh.
