The State Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak has stated to build up Bangladesh as ‘Cashless Society’. All kinds of financial transactions as per requirement including shopping, now, will be done through e-payment system and this system will build up the ‘Cashless Society’, as Zunaid Palak shared in a seminar held at a hotel in Dhaka and organized by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) in association with Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI). Besides, SSL Wireless and Techno Heaven were the co-organizers of the seminar.

Mentioning to build up Bangladesh as a Cashless Society, Palak informed-Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Advisor to the Government of Bangladesh on Information and Communication Technology, intends to develop Bangladesh as a ‘Cashless Society’ in ‘Vision 2021’ itself, as he instructed so in last May of the current year for e-commerce revolution in the country.
BASIS Director Mustafizur Rahman Sohel and Member of MCCI Executive Council Mr. Rubaiyat Jamil moderated the seminar in two sessions. Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank S.M Moniruzzaman, BASIS President Mustafa Jabbar and Vice President of MCCI Mr. Golam Mainuddin took part in a session of the seminar, whereas Managing Director and CEO of Dutch-Bangla Bank Mr. Abul Qashem Mohammad Shirin, CEO of Ajkerdeal.com Mr. Fahim Mashroor, BASIS Vice President Farhana A Rahman and BASIS Director Syed Almas Kabir attended the other session.
Managing Director of Techno Heaven and former BASIS President Habibullah N Karim delivered the welcome speech in the seminar.
BASIS President Mustafa Jabbar said-Bangladesh is successfully moving towards e-commerce system. Such kind of event contributes a lot to let the tech industry cope up with time.
