Minimum call rate in mobile phones is going to be raised up to 0.10 taka. This charge will get raised in case of talking within the same operator. But, the charge will get reduced up to 0.15 taka in regard of the calls made to other operators and the maximum call rate will be limited to 0.50 taka.
According to a new decision taken by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), new rate within the same operator is going to be fixed 0.35 taka, which was previously 0.25 taka. In case of other operators, this rate is supposed to be fixed 0.45 taka getting reduced from 0.60 taka. On the other hand, the maximum call rate is likely to be fixed 1.50 taka declining from 2.00 taka.
This decision to change maximum and minimum call rate recently, has been taken after seven years, in a Commission meeting of BTRC. The decision has already been sent for the approval of government.
