A court in South Korea has sentenced the Vice President of Samsung Mr. Jay Yong Lee to 5 years imprisonment on Friday, August 25, 2017. Previously on August 7, Prosecutor of South Korea applied for 12 years imprisonment for Jay Yong Lee.
The court has declared this verdict on Friday as the charges brought against him had been proved in the court. Jay Yong Lee had been accused for giving money to country’s former president illegally.
In last February, the court officially accepted numbers of charges including corruption against the Vice Chairman of world’s largest Smartphone manufacturing organization ‘Samsung Electronics’. Lee got arrested on last February 17, 2017 as per the inquiry of the case.
Earlier, Lee also had been charged for money laundering, bribery and corruption in 2016.
