A journal naming with ‘The Parliament Face’ has been launched on the eve of 15th August, National Mourning Day. On this occasion, an inauguration ceremony has been organized in National Press Club on August 29, 2017. Honorable Information Minister Mr. Hasanul Haq Inu, MP inaugurated the journal published by an IT based magazine ‘The Monthly TechWorld Bangladesh’. As special guests, President of National Press Club Md. Shafiqur Rahman, President of BNSK Nasimun Ara Minu and Secretary General of Human Rights Journalist Forum Mr. Khairuzzaman Kamal were present in the program presided over by Jamilur Rahman Lemon.
While delivering speech, the Minster said-The initiative to publish ‘The Parliament Face’ journal is undoubtedly praiseworthy. Such kind of initiative really coveys much significance taken on the death anniversary of the greatest Bangali of all ages, dreamer of independent Bangladesh and father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. It will work as a means of relationship of development activities among the parliament, government and the general people. I really admire the publication of the Parliament Face and its positive initiatives. I also would like to thank the Editorial Panel of the Parliament Face journal. I hopefully expect their great initiative to be successful.
In the welcome speech, Editor S.R Lucky spoke of the goal of the Parliament Face. She said-The Parliament face is committed to work on public services in both printed and online formats. Hopefully, this journal will contribute in enhancement of public relations to governmental programs and empowerment of local governmental programs as well. The ethical support and cooperation from all the patriotic citizens of our dear mother land will make our journey more flexible.
In the presiding speech, Jamilur Rahman Lemon stated-People are the source of all power. Members of Parliament work for public welfare. But, people are not informed enough about all the projects. So, if the Parliament Face presents all the initiatives taken by the MPs for the people, then people will get to know. Even, the MPs, too, will get inspired that their deeds are getting evaluated. Besides the people from their own areas, others will also get informed about their initiatives and that will be beneficial for both. So, I think the initiative of the Parliament Face will be able to play a positive role in democracy practices.
Apart from this, numbers of prominent personnel were also present in the inauguration ceremony of the Parliament Face including media workers. The program was moderated by the Editor of TechWorld Magazine Naznin Nahar.
