‘Digital Innovation Challenge for Women 2017’ has been held successfully with the participation of women like previous one. The inauguration ceremony got held at A.S Mahmud Seminar Hall in The Daily Star office on September 9, 2017. The program was powered by Microsoft Bangladesh, whereas The Daily Star was the co-organizer. Mrs. Achia Khaleda Nila, Founder of Women in Digital inaugurated the ceremony where, as honorable guests there were present, Waseqa Ayesha Khan, Member of Parlament Seat-31, Chittagong,Bangladesh, Rokia Rahman, Chairman at MIDAS Financing Ltd, Arlinks Ltd, Mediaworld Ltd, R.R. Cold Storage Ltd, Sonia Bashir Kabir, Managing Director at Microsoft, Mahbooba Panna, Deputy Secretary at Information & Communication Technology Division, Dhaka, Bangladesh, Mina Parveen, Project Director (Joint Secretary), Jatiyo Mohila Shangstha, Tareen Hossain, Director at The Daily Ittefaq and Taslima Miji, Founder of Gootipa, CEO at Techmania, whereas Rezwana Khan, Director and COO of Star Computer System, was present as mentor.
Rezwana Khan said-We are assisting the youth to make them more developed, concerned and internationally standard.
Rayhan Rajon, Head of Software Development in Activation WE Automate, was also present in the program as one of the judges. In his speech, he said-‘Digital Innovation Challenge for 2016’ held previously got huge responses and with this continuation it has been organized in the current year too.
Mrs. Achia Khaleda Nila, Founder of Women in Digital also showed her interest to continue this henceforth. She said-I would like to always cooperate during this one and a half month long even. She is continuously playing a very significant role in case of women participation in building up ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
