Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has canceled the wave of telecom service provider WorldTel Bangladesh Limited. Due to sharing calls illegally through their allocated wave and using in VOIP, BTRC took this step. Besides, the commission also declared all their telecom related services illegal, as Director of Spectrum Department of BTRC Lieutenant Colonel Sufi Mohammad Moinuddin informed through a notice issued by him.
According to an official order issued from BTRC on November 22, 2017, BTRC has come to get the proofs regarding WorldTel’s illegal VOIP services using their allocated wave. Considering this, the company’s wave had been canceled on last May 3, 2017. Source-Techshohor
