Bangladesh is to organize the 17th Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards, renowned as ICT sector’s Oscar award. The three day long APICTA Awards 2017 is going to take place from December 7 to 10, 2017 where above four hundred ICT professionals from around 15 countries across the world are to participate.
ICT Directorate of the Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh in association with Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) are going to organize the event.
BASIS in this regard called for a press conference on last December 2, 2017 at BASIS office to present the details of APICTA Awards 2017. ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak also attended the press conference as chief guest. He said-Bangladesh has got the opportunity to organize this event within only two years of getting APICTA membership. Basically, our country progressed enough in ICT sector. Youth is quite interested in such event. Even, it doesn’t take much time to launch new technology in the country, as the State Minister also informed.
BASIS President Mustafa Jabbar said- Last year, Bangladesh has been announced as the organizer of APICTA Awards 2017.
Director General of ICT Directorate Mr. Banamali Bhowmick, Honorable Judge of APICTA Awards Mr. Abdullah H Kafi, BASIS Vice President Rashidul Hasan, Director Uttam Kumar Pal and more were also present in the press conference.
