Aiming for ICT Development in the southern part of the country, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has finally inaugurated ‘Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park’ today from her government residence “Ganabhaban’ through video conference.
PM Sheikh Hasina said-We took decision to build up such Hi-Tech Park in the country with a view to making ICT available up to the root level. We always desired to expand ICT across the country and wanted to exploit its outcome for everyone in the country.
On the eve of the inauguration of the park, ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said-Bangabandhu used to tell that ‘Only Dhaka doesn’t mean Bangladesh’. To make it true, his daughter Sheikh Hasina is spreading information technology everywhere in the country.
Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park has been set up at Bejpara in Jessore. Around taka 241 crore was the cost to construct this 15 stored building. It covers an area of 2 lakh 32 thousand square feet and each floor contains 14 thousand square feet.
During the inauguration of the park, from Jessore Software Technology Park compound a teacher, two students, two IT professionals and Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Hosne Ara Begum were also present with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the video conference.
