The government is working to bring all the information of the national portal (bangladesh.gov.bd) on voice dial from mobile phone.
The government will develop National Contact Centre (NCC) integrating all information of national portal in association with a mobile operator.
Access to Information programme under Prime Minister Office(PMO) has signed up an agreement with the mobile operator Robi at an event at Post Telecommunications division on Tuesday.
Subscriber of any mobile phone operator will be able to access information from the NCC through voice call, Short Message Service (SMS), Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and other online method.
PMO Director General Kabir Bin Anwar and Robi’s Chief Corporate and People Officer Matiul Islam Nowshad signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations while State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim was present on the occasion as the chief guest while Cabinet Division Acting Secretary NM Ziaul Alam was special guest on the occasion.
“ We are working to bring all 2 million information into the voice service and there will be generated a five digit code that is on process now,” Robi Vice President Ekram kabir told the correspondent by phone on Tuesday.
More than 25,000 government websites are connected to this National Portal providing information on the activities of 61 Ministries, 351 Departments and other offices.
