Two respected ICT Personalities, five Startups and IT companies have been recognized with ICT Award 2017 introduced by the English newspaper The Daily Star. The award has been announced on December 27, 2017 at La Meridien Hotel in Dhaka. Honorable Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith distributed the honorary awards among the winners. In the award distribution ceremony, ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed and BASIS President Mustafa Jabbar were also present.

This year CEO of Reve Systems Mr. M Rezaul Hasan has got the ICT Business Person of the Year Award, whereas Share Holder Director in IBCS-Primax Software Limited Mr. A. Touhid won the ICT Pioneer of the Year Award.

Popular Online Shop Chaldal.com has been recognized with e-Business of the Year Award. On the other hand, Brain Station 23 Limited achieved ICT Solution Provider of the Year (Global Market) Award and LEADS Corporation achieved ICT Solution Provider of the Year (Local Market) Award.

Service based market place Seba XYZ got ICT Startup of the Year Award and similarly Pathao also got the Startup Award.

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) cooperated Daily Star to organize the event like previous year and the event was sponsored by BRAC Bank and Microsoft. Source-Techshohor
