‘CTO Tech Summit-2018’ got held for the first time in the country organized by CTO Forum Bangladesh. Honorable Secretary of ICT Division Mr. Subir Kishore Chowdhury was present in the inauguration ceremony of the summit as chief guest at Dhanmondi Club Limited on May 11. In his speech, he said- Aiming to involve the people in digital transformation, Bangladesh government has taken different initiatives through ICT Division.
As special guest, Advisor of Bangladesh Bank Mr. S K Sur Chowdhury said- The changes introduced in country’s banking sector through ICT are quite positive. But, in this regard, there is no alternative to mass awareness in ensuring cyber security.
Project Director of a2i Program of Prime Minister’s Office Md. Mostafizur Rahman said- Government is continuously working aiming to fulfilling the dream of Vision 2041. But, the government can’t afford it alone. Everyone’s cooperation is necessary for its execution. And so, the event organized by CTO Forum for country’s ICT development conveys so.
BASIS President Almas Kabir said- Everyone’s participation for country’s ICT development is inevitable where such arrangement will play a significant role, as I believe.
Apart from them, CTO Forum President Mr. Tapan Kanti Sarkar also delivered his speech. He said- Aiming to bringing all the ICT concerned personnel together in such platform, the event has actually been organized. It also aims to ensure country’s ICT personnel’s ability to confront cyber threats skillfully through mutual cooperation and sharing there experiences.
At the beginning of the inauguration ceremony, convener of CTO Tech Summit-2018 Mr. Taher Ahmed Chowdhury delivered the welcome speech, whereas the keynote speech was delivered by IT Manager of a2i Program of Prime Minister’s Office Mr. Arfe Elahi Manik.
In the inauguration ceremony, speakers said- ‘CTO Tech Summit-2018’ aims to make the inter relationship among country’s CTOs stronger. Hopefully, the summit will play a significant role in development of ICT concerned community bringing all the CTOs together in a single platform. Currently, it is more important to make proper utilization of the emerging technology which is considered talk of the town nowadays. Such arrangement will impact quite effectively for the development of these facts, as the speakers in the program think.
Total 8 seminars and workshops on Cyber Threats, Cyber Security, Blockchain, Bitcoin, e-Commerce and Digital Payment are to be held on the second of the event, May-12 (Saturday) along with the presence of country’s prominent CTOs. Around 40 speakers are to take part in the seminars.
IT usage has now become indispensable in almost every sector of our country and utilizing technology in business purpose for business development and enhancing skills and to operate the entire procedure competently, a CTO is always there for strict supervision, as the organizers informed. A CTO always has to get themselves used to in latest technologies, utilize the advantages of the cyber world and confront the challenges as well. As technology is rapidly changing, so CTOs from different organizations need to develop their skills more through sharing their experiences among themselves and for this, a platform is quite essential. CTO Forum has been creating such platform successfully for long time.
