Bank accounts of country’s mobile phone operator Robi Axiata Limited will remain halted for three days. Appeal Division has postponed High Court’s order regarding the suspension of Robi’s bank accounts that was given postponing the decision taken by National Board of Revenue (NBR). The Stay Order will be valid for three days.
Appeal Division consisting of four members led by the Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain gave this order on hearing of a petition placed by the State against the High Court order. Resultantly, the decision to halt Robi’s bank accounts for three days taken by NBR sustained, as Deputy Attorney General S.M Moniruzzaman informed.
