Daffodil International University (DIU) has always been at the forefront of innovation and this time the university has taken another bold step toward the future by introducing a blockchain-based digital certificate verification system.
This system will provide DIU graduates with a convenient and secure way to download and share digital copies of their academic certificates while ensuring the authenticity of the digital copies. Professor Dr. M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, of Daffodil International University launched the system today on December 30, 2023, at Professor Aminul Islam Hall of the university...
The launching ceremony was also attended by Professor Dr. Md. Ismail Jabiullah, Controller of Examinations, Professor Dr. Syed Akter Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Dr. Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar of Daffodil International University and other high officials of the university.
DIU is the first university in Bangladesh to introduce such an advanced system. This is a significant milestone in the history of DIU and will undoubtedly inspire other universities in Bangladesh to follow suit. With this system, DIU graduates will no longer have to worry about the authenticity of their academic certificates. Blockchain technology makes it hack-proof, tamper-proof, and virtually impossible to alter any credentials. This not only adds a layer of security but also helps reduce the scope of any fraudulent activity associated with academic certificates.
DIU initially launched the system for a limited number of recent graduates to optimize its performance before rolling it out to a larger group. This cautious approach demonstrates the university’s commitment to providing a seamless and effective system that benefits both graduates and the public.
The blockchain-based system will provide the following benefits to the graduates and the public:
# Easy and secure access to digital copies of academic certificates.
# Instant verification of the authenticity of digital copies.
# Immune to hacking, tampering, or any fraudulent activities.
