The brilliant innovators of Bangladesh participated in the battle of talent alongside the world’s best talents. At the Australian Rover Challenge 2024 event, Team Atlas, a team of young roboticists from Bangladesh proved their worth and uplifted the red and green flag and sang the national anthem ‘Amar Sonar Bangla’ in chorus.

The team led by Sani Zubair has placed in the top ten in this international Mars Rover competition as the first team from the South Asian countries.

The Team Atlas from Bangladesh ranked 9th in the international ranking, fighting with world-leading universities like IIT- Australia, University of Western Australia, University of Delhi, University of Technology Sydney, University of Wollongong.

After competing in two competitive selection rounds in a four-day challenge, Team Atlas finally represented Bangladesh in this international competition to showcase excellence in space vehicle research and innovation. They stunned the participants by achieving excellence in Asia.

The competition was attended by engineers from NASA and the Australian Space Agency, professors from the University of Adelaide.

The members of Team Atlas- Jannatul Ferdous, Mahtab Newaz and Shihab Ahmed Ananta, Sadman Wasif, Adnan Wahid, Fahim Shahriar Eric, Mehran Islam Mahim and Mohammad Tanzeer Arafat are accompanying Sani Zobair who won Nepal last February.
