Bangabandhu Satellite is going to head towards Launch Pad in Florida today, March 28, 2018, from the plant of French aerospace manufacturer Thales Alenia. April 24 has been scheduled as possible date to launch the satellite.

The satellite will be brought to Nice airport getting it out of the manufacturing plant. From here, the satellite will leave for USA by Antonov Cargo aircraft at local time by 6 am to 8 am on March 29, 2018. On the same day, after the stop over in Boston, it will land on the launch pad of SpaceX on March 30, 2018 situated at Cape Canaveral in Florida. Here its integrating, testing and then fueling will get done in Falcon-9 rocket. First launching of Bangabandhu Satellite will be executed in the upgraded Block-5 version of Falcon-9.    

During the satellite launch, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will get connected directly with Florida launching from the Ground Station in Gazipur. Post, Telecommunication and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar is also supposed to present here. Besides, a team of 22 members led by Information State Minister Tarana Halim will be present at Cape Canaveral.
