A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between country’s leading tech products manufacturer Walton and world’s largest software developing organization Microsoft. The MoU signing ceremony was held at BCC (Bangladesh Computer Council) conference room on May 7. Post, Telecommunication and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar was present in the MoU signing ceremony.
From Walton, Executive Director and Computer Project In-charge Engineer Liakot Ali and from Microsoft, General Manager of South-East Asia Region Anne Lepissier signed the agreement.
In the ceremony, Mustafa Jabbar said- Besides manufacturing, Walton is exporting laptops and computers which refer to the execution of the dream ‘Digital Bangladesh’ of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Walton is now using Microsoft’s original software in their digital devices in lieu of pirated ones.
Aiming to providing support to each other in regard of ICT, Walton from Bangladesh and US based Microsoft signed this agreement. Under this agreement, users can use original Windows with reasonable price in Walton computers and laptops. Image source: United News Bangladesh
