Today, the telecom regulator opened a control room to keep an eye on internet and telecommunications services throughout Cyclone Mocha.

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) announced in a statement that the control room's contact numbers are +8801552-202854 and +8801552-202886.

The majority of the country's coastline regions will be submerged, and the most severely hit place by tidal surge will be Teknaf in Cox's Bazar. A monitoring team has been established within the commission, and all licensees have received instructions from BTRC on how to operate in this regard. According to the statement, the control center of BTRC primarily serves to coordinate the monitoring team established in BTRC and how the licensees operating in coastal areas are attempting to cope with Mocha.

In addition to this mobile operators, Nationwide Telecommunication Transmission Network operators, internet services providers and other concerned licensees are asked to take necessary action by informing the control room if they face any problem in their operation in the coastal area.
