For the third time, ‘BPO Summit 2018’ is going to be held on April 15 and 16. The two day long biggest event in BPO sector will take place at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka. ICT Advisor to the Prime Minister Mr. Sajeeb Wazed Joy is to be present as chief guest in the inauguration ceremony of BPO Summit 2018.
Aiming to make ‘BPO Summit 2018’ successful, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) had been officially signed between ICT Directorate and Bangladesh Association of Call Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Seminar Hall on March 21, 2018.
In the MoU signing ceremony, Director General of ICT Directorate (Additional Secretary) Mr. A K M Kayrul Alam and President of BACCO Mr. Wahid Sharif signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Among others, Post, Telecommunication and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar, ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Secretary Subir Kishore Chowdhury, Additional Director General (Additional Director) Maliha Nargis, Systems Manager (Joint Secretary) Md. Mohsinul Alam, Director (Finance & Administration) Md. Rezaul Maksud Jahedi, Deputy Secretary and Director (Planning & Development) Mohammad Lutfor Rahman, Deputy Secretary and Director (Planning & Development) Mohammad Abul Hashem, Assistant Programmer Nur-A-Alam Siddiqi, General Secretary of BACCO Touhid Hossain, Project Coordinator of BPO Summit 2018 Sharmin Kabir and many more were present in the MoU signing ceremony.
Post, Telecommunication and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar said- Having the will power to establish Digital Bangladesh, BPO Summit is going to achieve another milestone by 2021. Aiming to get more available to the general people and for more expansion, BPO Summit 2018 is going to be taken place with the consequences of the successful summits organized in 2015 and 2016.
ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said- Government has taken different initiatives for the advancement of ICT sector. Even, the BPO is quite a prospective sector in Bangladesh. Young generation and the students have huge opportunities in BPO sector to work. Currently, BPO sector is one of the most effective ways to earn foreign currency. We have to present this sector before the new generation through the event ‘BPO Summit 2018.
This year Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), Bangladesh Women in Technology (BWIT), ISP Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) and Bangladesh Mobile Phone Importers Association are also involved in the summit as partners.
