Country’s leading mobile phone operator Grameenphone (GP) has introduced e-Registration or Electronic Registration for their subscribers. The launch of e-registration service was announced in a program organized at GP Lounge on September 4.
In the program, Director General of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Brigadier General Shahriar Ahmed was present as Chief Guest. Apart from him, Deputy CEO and CMO of Grameenphone Mr. Yaseer Azman and CCAO Mr. Mahmud Hossain were also present.
e-Registration is a paperless registration process where the subscribers won’t need to provide any photograph or any ID cards in regard of purchasing new SIM cards. Subscribers can purchase new SIM card by providing only his or her name, ID number, birth date, present address and finger print. Even, the subscribers won’t need to fill up SAF form and resultantly, subscribers personal information will remain more secured.
