To keep peace with the rapidly changed technological advancement and equipped the students with latest development of educational system Daffodil International School has launched STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Lab first ever of its kind in Bangladesh. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.
STEM is important because it pervades every part of our lives. Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. Engineering is not only concerned with design, building and use of engines and structures, but also tackles the challenges of changing global weather and environmentally-friendly changes to our home. Mathematics is in every occupation, every activity we do in our lives. By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a job in a STEM field.
With a view to permeate STEM-related concepts for the first time in Bangladesh, Daffodil Family has launched STEM Lab today on November 20, 2018 at Daffodil International School at Dhanmondi Branch. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil Family, inaugurated the STEM Lab as the chief guest. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of Daffodil Family, Dr. Md. Mahmudul Hassan, Principal, Daffodil International School and the Convener of STEM Lab along with members of advisory board of STEM Lab were present at the inauguration ceremony.
