Bangladesh ICT & Innovation Network (BIIN) and Smart Bangladesh Network (SBN) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a collaborative partnership aimed at promoting technological innovation, entrepreneurship, research, and education in Bangladesh. The MoU signing ceremony took place at the ICT Division, with esteemed officials and members of both organizations in attendance.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Co-Chairman of SBN and Former Principal Secretary to the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh, who served as the Chief Guest. On behalf of Bangladesh ICT & Innovation Network (BIIN), Syed Sadat Almas Kabir, Chairman, and Moon M. Rajib, Founder and Chief Coordinator, signed the MoU. Representing Smart Bangladesh Network (SBN), Md. Monzurul Islam, Member, SBN & Secretary, iDEA Foundation, and Manik Mahmud, Member, SBN & Programme Specialist Innovation, a2i - Aspire to Innovate, also signed the MoU.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Co-Chairman of SBN, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between BIIN and SBN, emphasizing the importance of such partnerships in driving innovation and economic growth. He also acknowledged the contributions of Planning Minister M. A. Mannan, MP, Private Industry and Investment Adviser to Prime Minister Salman F Rahman, ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain, and Principal Secretary Mohammad Tofazzel Hossain Miah, who serve as advisors to Smart Bangladesh Network.

The collaboration between BIIN and SBN marks a significant milestone in their respective efforts to drive digital transformation and foster innovation in Bangladesh. This partnership aims to leverage the collective expertise and resources of both organizations to achieve common goals and contribute to the development of a digitally empowered nation. Under the MoU, BIIN, and SBN will collaborate in various areas, including capacity-building training for youths, organization of workshops and seminars in educational institutions, facilitation of entrepreneurship skills development, engagement of industries in skills development initiatives, and support for future skills development and regional transformation.
