For the first time, Digital Forensic Lab got opened in ICT Division, besides country’s law enforcement forces. ICT Advisor to the Prime Minister Sajeeb Wazed Joy inaugurated the lab yesterday, April 11, 2018.

ICT State Minister Zuanid Ahmed Palak, ICT Secretary Subir Kishore Chowdhury, Prime Minister’s Deputy Press-Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon and CCA Controller Abul Monsur Mohammad Shorfuddin Ahmed were also present in the inauguration ceremony.

All the latest software and machinery concerning laptop, computer, mobile phones and network analysis have been installed in the lab. From now on in the lab, it would be possible to identify all kinds of cyber crimes taken place in the country and the criminals as well, as ICT Division stated.

At the office the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), this Forensic Lab has been established under the project titled Development of ‘Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)’ System and Efficiency Enhancement of CCA Office.
