Banglalink, once country’s second biggest mobile phone operator now lags behind in comparison with other two big operators of the country. Considering the number of subscribers, the operator dropped to 3rd position due to Robi-Airtel merge. Similarly, Banglalink’s revenue and investment too have started falling.
Due to not having stronger 3G network than other other operators, Banglalink lags behind in the competition, as its mother company ‘VEON’ admitted in their annual financial report of 2017. But, the operator already invested around taka 3 thousand crore to buy spectrum aiming to get back in the competition with more enrichment.
