United Finance PLC has officially launched its new mobile application, UMA, aiming to redefine customer service through a secure and fully digital banking experience.
The launch event took place on Monday (August 25) at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.
Among those in attendance were Nazmul Hassan, Chairman of United Finance PLC; Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director; and Mohammad Abul Ahsan, Deputy Managing Director. Customers and business partners were also present at the ceremony.
According to United Finance, UMA has been developed to enhance customer convenience by offering a streamlined, secure, and user-friendly digital interface.
The app allows customers to open deposit accounts entirely online—reportedly a first in Bangladesh’s non-bank financial institution (NBFI) sector. Additionally, users can view real-time updates on deposit and loan products, instantly download account statements and certificates, and submit service requests directly from their mobile devices.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Nazmul Hassan said, “United Finance has always prioritised service excellence, and I am confident that UMA will deliver a seamless experience for our customers. I invite all our clients to explore UMA.”
Managing Director Mohammad Rafiqul Islam described UMA as a proud in-house creation tailored specifically for United Finance’s clientele. “Its simple user interface ensures accessibility across all age groups and demographics.
The app is fully secure and provides complete transparency over customer accounts. It represents a major step forward in our commitment to innovation and sustainability,” he said.
Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Abul Ahsan presented the core features of UMA, demonstrating how it simplifies financial transactions for customers anytime, anywhere.
UMA is now available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. United Finance will release step-by-step tutorials and feature highlights via its official social media channels to assist users in navigating the app.
