The ‘Call Center’ for e-Passport and Visa Application Center of Bangladesh High Commission has been officially inaugurated on Friday (January 5) with the aim of providing e-passport and visa services in Malaysia in an easy manner and short period of time. The service was inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen being connected virtually to the Southgate Commercial Center in Kuala Lumpur.

The High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Malaysia on behalf of the Foreign Minister Md. Shamim Ahsan cut the ribbon for the inauguration of ‘Call Centre’. At that time, Giyas Uddin Ahmed, the Managing Director of the outsourcing company ‘Expat Services Limited’ (ESL), expatriate media workers and the officials of Bangladesh High Commission were present.

The call center was inaugurated on the last day of Seba Saptaho (Service Week) on the occasion of ‘National Expatriate Day’. Thanking the High Commission for launching the ‘call centre’, the foreign minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is following ‘expatriate-friendly policy’ to ensure the services and welfare of expatriates. To this end, the government has declared December 30 as ‘National Expatriate Day’.
