In order to improve the quality of mobile network, inter-sharing between Tarwar Co. organizations, solar panels on towers, strengthening cross-border foreign policy to fix the network at the border and removing the fear of wave radiation at the citizen level have been emphasized.
These demands were raised in the discussion meeting held at Tafjjal Hossain Manik Mia Hall of National Press Club on Tuesday (September 17). Bangladesh Mobile Phone Consumer Association President Mohiuddin Ahmed presided over the discussion meeting and the top officials of the country's mobile operators, tower installation companies and tower service companies were present. Deputy Manager of Teletalk Bangladesh SM Masum, Deputy Manager of Kirtankhola Towers Limited Ehtesham Khan, Chief Executive of Frontier Technology Limited Tajreen Alam spoke; Abdul Baten Khan, Summit Towers Limited Senior Manager and Regulatory Affairs Adnan Shahriar, Grameenphone Senior Director Corporate Affairs Hossain Sadat, Robir Corporate Affairs Officer Shahed Alam, former Competition Commission Director Khaled Abu Nasser and former BERC member Maqbul on behalf of the tower construction contractors. This is Elahi.
In the documentary presented at the meeting, Masuda Hossain, associate manager of e-dot co, said that a customer uses six GB of data every month. It will reach 17GB after next four years. There are 44 thousand towers to meet this demand. Another 12,000 towers will be required to meet the potential demand. To raise the tower, the towers need to have smart hi-tech policies for multipurpose use and clearance from multilateral authorities.
He emphasized on the ease of equipment importation and duty-free facility for 5 years and facilitation of NOC.
In the discussion, the managing director of Solar Electro Company Bangladesh, Engineer BM Mojibur Rahman emphasized on the use of vertical model for installing solar panels on the tower. He said that if lithium phosphate and lithium ion are used in the installation of solar panels, it will provide support for a long time.
Abdul Baten Khan complained on behalf of the contractors in the construction of the tower and said that we have invested about 200 crore rupees. But 150 crore rupees are stuck through Frontier Technology. Towerco companies are not returning our investment even after 6 months even though we are supposed to get the money within 21 days. GP and Frontier withheld our money. Complaining to BTRC about this, I am not getting any benefit. Don't blame us if we go hard line too.
Hossain Sadat advised long-term investment to telecom companies in response, saying there is no opportunity to patronize. We cannot legally take responsibility for Frontier. They cannot fulfill more than 60 percent of the contract if they work. apologize But we are also responsible to the investors. But we cannot do anything quickly.
He also said that BTRC rules that no more than 30 percent rollout can be done with a tower company.
There is no legal remedy for tower vendors. Hossain Sadat added that towers cannot be built in many parts of Dhaka city.
Complaining about reluctance in parallel towers and tower shares, barrister Shahed Alam commented that adding competition before the sector is mature is defeating the noble objectives. He said, in this case, the cart has been put before the horse.
Mentioning the fact that the bandwidth is falling is a matter of air, he also said that while buying bandwidth, bandwidth has to be charged as peak hour for 24 hours. So bandwidth cannot be retained like electricity. And harnessing the unused airwaves will require new technologies. Not possible to roll out at this time.
In the president's speech, Mohiuddin Ahmed said, there is no alternative to create awareness among the masses about wave radioactivity. In this case, misconceptions and wrong content should be reduced. At the same time the tendency to share towers should be increased. I hope that the interim government will reform the BTRC to overcome the apathy of the government.
