In the 2017-18 fiscal year, government has provided a donation of taka 4 crore to 81 entrepreneurs and companies for different innovations and projects. Entrepreneurs receiving the donation will contribute in ICT development of the country through executing different researches and operating innovative projects, as said Post, Telecommunication and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar in a day long seminar on output of innovative projects and government’s achievement under ICT Division and creation of mass awareness. The seminar was held on June 3 at ICT Tower, Agargaon Dhaka.
As per source of the ministry, for innovative projects in ICT sector, government has donated total taka 13 crore 36 lakh 68 thousand by 2013-14 to 2017-18 fiscal year.
In the seminar Mustafa Jabbar said- Currently ICT is acknowledged as world’s one of the key objects. Our current government is taking different initiatives and executing different innovative projects aiming to build up knowledge based and ICT enriched Bangladesh. Due to this, poor and meritorious students will get encouraged in concerning studies and researches.
Besides Mustafa Jabbar, Additional Secretary of ICT Division Rashedul Islam and Project Director of a2i Programme Mostafizur Rahman also delivered speeches in the seminar presided over by the Secretary of ICT Division Subir Kishore Chowdhury. Image collected.
