As per priority of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, aiming to get children interested in ICT, a district level programming contest for children has been taken place in 180 Sheikh Rasel Digital Labs of 64 districts across the country.
Initially from 64 districts, around 5 thousand and 400 contestants participated in this competition held in two categories-Scratch and Python. Total 2 thousand 700 contestants took part in each category. A team consisting of three members took part in Scratch programming contest, whereas Python consisted of individual participation.
Earlier, by the duration between May 12 and May 30, all the contestants were trained in 180 Sheikh Rasel Digital Labs across the country. Even, the trainers also got trained in a two day long training program held on April 16 and 17 at Bangladesh Krishibid Institute. 360 ICT teachers and coordinators of Sheikh Rasel Digital Lab trained them over there.
