ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak has taught children different rules and regulations to remain safe while browsing internet. He presented different strategies for safe internet usage in a festival organized jointly by UNICEF Bangladesh and Facebook, held at Novo Theatre, Dhaka on March 30.

Palak said- Due to accessing the digital world through internet, risks are also increasing rapidly besides creating a prospective future for children. Different harmful contents too are available in online. These may impact on children. So, he asked the children not to go through such contents.

To keep the children away from internet usage for their security reasons is not actually a solution to this. He said- We have to teach them how to remain safe in online and what we should be aware about. Then, online can be a secured medium for the children.

All the children as well as their guardians were very glad to know about safe internet usage in the festival. Among others, UNICEF Bangladesh Representative Mr. Edouard Beigbeder and Head of Programs, India and South Asia, Facebook Ritesh Mehta were also present in the program.
