Walton has launched desktop computer and monitor in local market, which have been manufactured in its own plant in Chandra of Gazipur.

The 'Made in Bangladesh' labelled technology products were brought to market within half-a-moth after Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar and State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the Walton Computer Production Plant at Walton Digi-Tech Industries Ltd. on 18 January this year.

Md. Liakat Ali, In-charge of Walton Computer Project, said Walton, at initial stage, released 6 models of desktop computer while 2 models of monitor that vary in configurations and prices according to the needs of different users.

He said, these desktops feature with 3.30 to 3.90 GHz Intel's Pentium, 7th generation Core i3 and Core i5 processors, Intel HD Graphics, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB 7200 SATA hard disk drive with Realtek high definition audio. Compact casing with built-in speaker made the desktop PC’s attractive and capable to bear heavy workload while easy to carry. These desktops are priced between Tk 23,550 to Tk 44,990.  

He said, among the 2 models of full HD monitors one bears 23.8 inch LED display and features 3 side frameless design with built-in speaker. The other one is of 21.5 inch which features internal power. The monitors priced at Tk 13,990 and Tk 8,550 respectively.

According to Walton sources, 24 different models of Walton brand laptops priced at 22,490 to 83,550 BDT are now available in the market. More 6 models of laptops, made in the same plant in Bangladesh, are coming in the market very soon which will be affordable in price.

Walton also sells various types of gaming and normal keyboard and mouse. The affordable keyboards are ranging from Tk 390 to Tk 1550 while the mousses are from Tk 220 to Tk 560. Mentionable, customers can buy any Walton brand laptop, desktop PC and monitor on 12-month easy installment facility while enjoy various guarantee and warranty facility for different products.
