BASIS President Mr. Syed Almas Kabir said that the students from Bangladesh are successfully solving the NASA Space Apps Challenge and occupying a significant place every year. We are going to participate in this competition for the seventh time. Last time in "NASA Space Apps Challenge 2020" out of 3600 projects in 150 countries of the world, Bangladesh team "BUET Zenith" has won in the Honorable Mention category. Out of 1395 teams and 18,000 participants from around the world, Team Olik has won the award in the 'Best use of Data' at NASA's International Space Apps Challenge 2018. I am hopeful that this year too our boys and girls will win awards and brighten our faces in the international arena.

Prof. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Hon’ble member of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh said, we are working to create new opportunities for our students. We will provide all kinds of support to BASIS for other programs like the BASIS NASA Space Apps Challenge. I also request the students to participate in this competition.

Senior Vice President of BASIS Ms. Farhana A. Rahman said that a lot of new innovations come out of competition. I would especially urge our girls to participate more in this competition. The girls of our country are doing well in all fields. I am optimistic that our girls will also lead in space research. She added that the inclusion of girls in each group under NASA guidance would add extra points for the team.

Ariful Hasan Apu, advisor of NASA Space Apps Challenge, said that NASA Space Apps Challenge is the biggest hackathon in the world. There will be several virtual bootcamps with participants. We hope our teams will do well this time.
