South Korea is going to introduce ‘Digital Nomad Visa’ to facilitate the work of foreign citizens. Government officials confirmed this information in a recent statement. News The Straits Times.

According to the news, Seoul is introducing Nomad visa to maintain the employment benefits of foreign nationals for two years even after they return home on vacation. This decision has been taken to increase the trend of remote work worldwide.

The Minister of Justice of the country said that it has been decided to launch this special visa so that remote worker or foreign nationals can spend their holidays safely in the country.

The minister said that workers can work without being in South Korea through this visa. So far, those applying for a tourist visa can stay in Korea for a maximum of 90 days.

According to the country’s special visa policy, those who apply for this visa must have an annual income of 84 million KRW. Besides, they have to submit all necessary documents to their local Korean Embassy.

In addition, the applicant must be above 18 years of age and have at least one year of experience in the job for which he/she is applying.
