Pavel Durov, CEO of messaging app Telegram, has been granted conditional bail. A French court granted his bail on Wednesday. 

Pavel Durov has been granted bail on the condition of depositing 50 million euros. Besides, he has to attend the police station twice a week. And he cannot leave France.

Meanwhile, a formal investigation has been launched against Russian-born Pavel Durov as part of an organized crime investigation into Telegram. Prosecutors in Paris say he remains under formal investigation in France.
