Apple has introduced its latest MacBook Air models powered by the M4 chip, offering improved performance and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. Notably, the company has reduced the price by $100 compared to the previous generation. The 13-inch model starts at $999, while the 15-inch variant is priced at $1,199. Pre-orders have already begun, and the new devices will be available in stores starting March 12, according to a Reuters report.
The updated MacBook Air integrates AI-powered features utilizing Apple's proprietary “Apple Intelligence” technology. These enhancements enable users to compose emails, send messages, and edit images seamlessly. This AI functionality, first introduced in iPhones last year, has now been extended to Mac devices.
On the same day, Apple also announced its new M3 Ultra chip, designed for Mac Studio devices. The M3 Ultra is capable of running large language models with over 600 billion parameters, delivering enhanced computing power. The Mac Studio with the base configuration starts at $1,999. Devices featuring the M3 Ultra chip will include a minimum of 96GB of memory, while the M4 Max version will come equipped with 36GB of memory. Source: Reuters
