Meta has announced Arun Srinivas as its new Managing Director and Head of India, effective July 1, 2025. This significant leadership change sees Srinivas taking charge of Meta's expansive operations, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, in the crucial Indian market. He will continue to report to Sandhya Devanathan, who now oversees both India and Southeast Asia.

Srinivas brings nearly three decades of extensive sales and marketing leadership experience. An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, his career spans prominent companies in consumer goods and technology. Before Meta, he held senior positions at Hindustan Unilever (over 15 years), and served as COO and Global CMO at Ola. He also began his career at Reebok and worked at WestBridge Capital.

At Meta, Srinivas most recently led the Ads Business in India since 2022. He was instrumental in engaging with major advertisers and agencies, focusing on strategic priorities like AI, Reels, and Messaging. His deep understanding of India's digital landscape and proven track record make him an ideal leader for Meta's continued investment and growth, especially amid the rising adoption of AI and the burgeoning creator economy.
