Additional Secretary Md Anwar Hossain has been promoted to the rank of Secretary.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Tuesday (August 19), appointing him as Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Anwar Hossain earlier served as Vice-Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau.

Meanwhile, Senior Secretary Md Mokabbir Hossain of the Ministry of Science and Technology was reassigned on August 18 as Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources.
