Country’s seven innovative projects got nominated for the final round of United Nations’ World Summit Award. In next November, country’s digital innovations are going to compete with above five hundred projects from 160 countries across the world in the Global Round. The event is going to be held in Ghana where the developers will present their innovations before the audiences at the International Parliament of World Summit Award.
The final nominated projects are ‘gemsclip.com’ in Business & Commerce category, ‘GEOPOTATO’ in Environment & Green Energy category, ‘Simplification of Krishi & Palli Loan’ in Government & Citizen Engagement category, ‘Tele Health for Palliative Patient’ in Health & Oil Being category, ‘Low Cost Communication Device for Person With Speech Disability’ in Inclusion & Empowerment Category, ‘Sign Language Translator’ in Learning & Education Category, ‘e-Parking’ in Smart Settlement & Urbanization category.
Earlier, a National Jury Board consisting of 14 members scrutinized all the participating projects in Bangladesh round among all the digital projects applied and then created a short list.
Jury Board Member of WSA and CEO of MCC Limited Mr. Ashraf Abir said- Aiming to support country’s youth to enter world’s billion dollar market by getting them engaged in innovative projects, such even has been organized.
The program was presided over by the President of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) Syed Almas Kabir.
