Bangabandhu’s son Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed (Joy) has again been appointed as the unpaid information and communication technology advisor to the Prime Minister. This information was conveyed in a notification signed by Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui, Director General (Administration) of the Prime Minister’s Office.

He was the information and technology advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the previous government as well. Earlier, he resigned from this post on November 29.

On that day, the Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary MM Imrul Kayes Rana confirmed the information of his resignation.

Awami League formed the government after winning absolute victory in the 12th National Parliament election on January 7. Awami League President Sheikh Hasina took oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the fourth time in a row and the fifth time in total at Bangabhaban last January 11, in the evening. 25 ministers and 11 state ministers joined Sheikh Hasina in managing the state in the fifth term.

Six advisers to the Prime Minister were appointed after the formation of the new cabinet. Like the last cabinet in the new cabinet Md. Mosiur Rahman, Dr. Gauhar Rizvi, Dr. Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Salman Fazlur Rahman, Major General (retd) Tariq Ahmed Siddique and former Chief Secretary Kamal Abdul Nasser Chowdhury have been appointed as advisers to the Prime Minister.
