Maximum Retail Price (MRP) policy developed by Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) has been finalized. From July 22, it is mandatory to paste MRP sticker in each computer accessories, as the association informed though an announcement of finalizing the MRP Policy in a knowledge sharing meeting titled ‘MRP Policy Implementation, Process and Preparation (এমআরপি নীতিমালা বাস্তবায়ন, প্রক্রিয়া এবং প্রস্তুতি) held on July 19. At the beginning of the meeting BCS President Engineer Subroto Sarkar read the proposed MRP Policy addressing everyone. As per the MRP Policy, from July 22 it is mandatory to paste MRP sticker on all tech products including computer accessories.

There is also a provision to fine in case of selling computer of computer accessories on lower of higher cost than the price pasted on MRP sticker. If any company violates the policy, they will get punished as per consideration.    

BCS Vice President Yusuf Ali Shamim, General Secretary Mosharrof Hossain Sumon, Treasurer Jabedur Rahman Shaheen, Director Asab Ullah Khan Juel, Mostafizur Rahman and other senior officials from different computer importing organizations were also present in the meeting.
