Bangladesh Association of Software Information Service (BASIS) has accorded a reception to the former President of the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) Abdullah H Kafi for achieving ‘The ASOCIO Honorary Award’.
Kafi, also former chairman of ASOCIO (Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization) received the award for his outstanding contributions to the ICT sector in the Asia-Oceania region.
Associo Award is the most prestigious award for contribution to the ICT sector in the Asia-Pacific region.
Postal, Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar attended the program as the chief guest. BASIS organized the event at its Karwan Bazar office on Sunday (November 25).
BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir, BASIS founder president Towhidul Islam, adviser Sheikh Abdul Aziz and Senior Vice President Farhana A Rahman, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Members of the BASIS EC Committee were also present in the programme.
